The Watson’s Go To Birmingham

The play is based on the novel of the same name and follows the Watson family, who live in Flint, Michigan in 1963. The family decides to take a road trip to Birmingham, Alabama to visit Grandma Sands. The story is told from the perspective of 10-year-old Kenny Watson, who is the middle child of the family. The play explores themes of family, racism, and growing up.
